Russia’s Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov will attend the Russian Investment Forum at the Main Media Centre of Sochi Olympic Park on 15–16 February.

The Forum’s main and second day, 15 February, will open as early as at 7:15 with a mass run along the Formula One circuit in support of Russian athletes competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The Minister himself will join the starting line-up alongside other Forum participants and Sochi residents. Forum participants can choose from two routes, 5,555 and 11,111 metres, laid around the Olympic Park facilities where Russian figure skating, short track and speed skating teams won 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

Ahead of the Russian Investment Forum, Pavel Kolobkov had a working meeting with Roscongress Foundation Director Alexander Stuglev, where they agreed to cooperate for the purposes of the sports programme and sport-related business sessions at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Eastern Economic Forum and the Russia House in Davos.

“Global sports have increasingly teamed up with various economic forums as a platform for pursuing their business purposes and promoting major global sporting events, and we are interested in cooperating with the Roscongress Foundation in this area,” the Minister of Sport stressed.
