Yakutia to sign agreement at the Forum on establishing a new airline

13 February 2018

The authorities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Republic of Buryatia, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, plan to sign an agreement at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi on setting up an airline company in Yakutia to operate TVS-2DTS aircraft, the Government of Yakutia reports.

Head of the Sakha Republic Yegor Borisov previously gave instructions to examine the TVS‑2DTS aircraft. The experts established that the fully-composite aircraft TVS‑2DTS is best adapted to Yakut frosts. The plane can take off from and land to unprepared and short runways with a low soil density.

The Yakut authorities say the region may become the platform for introducing the new aircraft into operation.
