About the Forum

The Russian Investment Forum is a popular and influential platform for presenting the investment and economic potential of Russia’s regions. The Forum promotes the development of small and medium-sized business, the emergence of new growth points and the strengthening of business relations between Russian companies and foreign partners.

The Forum is held with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

In 2019, over 8,000 participants from 65 countries visited the Russian Investment Forum. A total of 84 federal subjects of the Russian Federation were represented at the Forum, including 79 that were represented by heads of regions. The main events of the Russian Investment Forum will take place at the Olympic Park Main Media Centre.

It takes an average of 10–15 minutes to get from Sochi International Airport to the Forum venue. The journey time from the centre of Sochi and the Krasnaya Polyana resorts to the Forum venue is around an hour.

The Roscongress Foundation

The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 173 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 78 countries worldwide, and 188 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

The Russian Investment Forum 2022 business programme architecture is published in the Programme architecture section.

Should you wish to participate in the Russian Investment Forum 2022 as a moderator or speaker, please email your request to the working group responsible for drafting the programme (programme@roscongress.org). Specify your contact information, job title, and organization, and include a brief list of points you wish to cover in your talk on your selected topic.

If you are submitting your request after the programme architecture has been published online, please also indicate where specifically the presentation would fit within the programme.

The Innovation Space is a project run by the Roscongress Foundation which aims to provide a platform for leading experts in innovation and digital transformation to engage in dialogue and debate, and to discuss current trends. Participants include representatives of government bodies; figures from major tech companies, development corporations, and business accelerators; investors; businesspeople; young startup entrepreneurs and innovators; mentors; and journalists.

The Social platform of the Roscongress Foundation is a multi-format platform for events and discussions focused on social issues organized in partnership with key social development institutions. The venue has become a cornerstone project for the Roscongress Foundation and the Innosocium Foundation, highlighting best practices in the social sphere from across Russia.

The platform’s mission is to highlight social issues on the agendas of Russian business forums and improve collaboration and trust between government, business and non-profit organizations.

Priority areas: developing culture, the creative industries, education, youth initiatives, women’s leadership, and social communication.

The Point Junior Forum is the youth track of the Russian Investment Forum, attended by proactive teenagers aged 15–18 from across Russia.

The Point Junior Forum will become an official venue of the global Point Junior project, a discussion and communication platform hosted by the Content Foundation and bringing together teenagers from Russia and abroad with fresh ideas and the ability to demonstrate strategic thinking.

The platform is building a cross-cutting agenda at key international discussion platforms, offering young people the opportunity to participate in global events and receive mentor support from global business leaders, politicians and public figures.

The Point Junior Forum is being held by the Content Foundation with the support of the Roscongress Foundation and the Innopraktika non-governmental development institute.

The Invest in Russia InvestHub is a premium lounge-style networking area at the Russian Investment Forum for investment companies and funding organizations, where investment projects are presented using multimedia technologies and hybrid formats.

The Invest in Russia InvestHub presentation area puts the spotlight on the investment agenda of Russia’s regions with panel discussions, pitch sessions, meetings attended by international and Russian investment agencies as well as development corporations, and signing ceremonies. Venue partners will also be able to host their own spaces here.

In addition to maintaining a presence at flagship Roscongress Foundation events, the InvestHub will operate on an ongoing basis, with project partners invited to business breakfasts, thematic awards and evening events.

VinoGrad is a new thematic space from the Roscongress Foundation dedicated to winemaking.

The Roscongress Foundation is launching the annual project to facilitate discussions about some of the most important issues in the industry including sustainability, biodiversity, wine tourism, regenerative viticulture, energy efficiency and genuinely green business opportunities.

The VinoGrad space will host a separate business programme throughout the Russian Investment Forum, including presentations and public discussions with industry experts, pitch sessions and debates.

A number of presentations and tasting sessions will also take place at the space on the sidelines of the business programme and exhibition.

There will also be an area at the VinoGrad space where all Forum participants can comfortably enjoy small meetings over a glass of wine.

Participating in the forum

Your Russian Investment Forum 2022 application status will be visible in the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account. Participation applications will be reviewed by the organizing committee. If your application is approved, you will be sent an invitation to the Forum, and your application status will be updated in real time in your account. The review process takes a minimum of 10 days, although the exact time varies for each applicant.

To participate in the Forum, you must be in receipt of a written invitation issued by the organizing committee. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse an invitation to an applicant without explanation.

Once you have received your invitation, please confirm your participation in the Forum in the ‘My events – Russian Investment Forum 2022 – Event dashboard’ section of your account. If you no longer plan to attend the Forum, please also inform us of your decision via your Roscongress personal account.

In order to maintain a high level of representation, the number of Forum participants permitted from any one company is limited.

If the quota for participants from a given company is exceeded, the participation fee for each subsequent participant will increase by 20% of the package price.

No discounts are offered for participation in the Forum.

Access to the Russian Investment Forum 2022 plenary session is by special invitation only, and will not be offered as part of the participation package.

Participants who have received an invitation but have decided not to attend the Forum, or who have previously confirmed their participation but no longer plan to attend are kindly requested to officially decline their participation via the Roscongress personal account or by informing the appropriate member of staff at the Roscongress Foundation.

Your login and password for the Roscongress personal account were emailed to you when you first applied to attend a Roscongress Foundation event. If you need to restore access to your account, please send an email to weboffice@roscongress.org.

A participant can only be substituted with the approval of the Forum organizing committee. If a participant who has confirmed their participation can no longer attend the Forum for any reason, and you wish to arrange a replacement, please contact your personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation.

Your personal manager’s contact information can be found in the Roscongress personal account and in your Forum invitation letter.

Payment of participation fee

To pay the participation fee, go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account, select Russian Investment Forum 2022, go to the 'Event dashboard' section and open the 'Payment' tab.

Once in the 'Payment' section, enter the payer’s information, and select the payment method (invoice in roubles or bank card for residents of the Russian Federation, or invoice in roubles/US dollars/euros or bank card for residents of other countries). The participant may then select the type of payment document: an agreement or invoice agreement (a document acting as both an agreement and an invoice).

The participation fee may only be paid by the individual or legal entity indicated as the Customer in the participation agreement.

Steps for paying the participation fee by agreement:

  1. Download the participation agreement from the Roscongress personal account

  2. Print and sign the agreement, and email a scanned copy to your Russian Investment Forum 2022 personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation

  3. Download the generated invoice

  4. Pay the participation fee via your bank (payment may take more than 3 banking days to process) or by bank card via the Roscongress personal account (payment will go through immediately).

The following bank cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Diners Club, JCB, MIR. Payment will be processed in Russian roubles.

Roscongress personal account

The Roscongress personal account is an information space, communication tool, and service platform for participants of all Roscongress Foundation events.

Features:

  • Submit applications to attend events organized by the Roscongress Foundation

  • Browse upcoming events and plan your personal schedule using the business calendar

  • Receive updates to your participation status and learn about services offered at various events organized by the Roscongress Foundation

  • Access resources and analysis on previous events organized by the Foundation

You can register for a Roscongress personal account on the Roscongress Foundation website.

You can register for a Roscongress personal account in five simple steps. Step one is to fill in your personal details. You will then be prompted to provide your passport details, information about your organization and your contact details. The fifth and final step is to select the event.

Once you have completed the registration process, an email will be sent to the address you have provided containing your login and password for your Roscongress personal account.

The Roscongress Foundation strictly adheres to legal requirements governing the protection of every participant’s personal data.

The Roscongress personal account has been developed using SSL data encryption technology to ensure the highest levels of security and confidentiality of your personal information.

When registering for a Roscongress personal account or applying to attend the Russian Investment Forum 2022, participants must consent to the processing of their personal data. This consent is a requirement under Russian law, and applications to participate in events cannot be processed without it.

Should you wish to edit your personal information, go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account and select Russian Investment Forum 2022.

If you need to edit your personal information as it appears in the general settings of your Roscongress personal account, or if you need to make changes to uneditable fields, please contact your personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation. Your personal manager’s contact information can be found in your Forum invitation letter. Alternatively, call the Forum information centre on +7 (495) 640 6547.

Participants who have received an invitation can confirm their participation in Russian Investment Forum 2022 in the ‘My events – Russian Investment Forum 2022 – Event dashboard’ section of their account.

Participants can also use the ‘Event dashboard’ to do the following:

  • Edit their personal data

  • Generate a contract or invoice contract and pay the participation fee

  • Provide information on their COVID-19 immunity status and details concerning their arrival in Russia/departure from Russia

  • Submit an accreditation request for a personal vehicle and drivers

  • Register for events on the cultural or sports and entertainment programmes

  • Request services (such as photography and videography services, and car rental)

All participants have to submit information on their COVID-19 immunity status (presence/absence of antibodies and vaccination information) in the COVID-19 section of the Roscongress personal account.

Foreign citizens will also have to submit information on their arrival in Russia/departure from Russia in order to board their flights and cross the Russian border.

More information will be published on the Forum website nearer the time of the event.

If a participant requires mobility assistance at the Forum venue, they should go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account and select the Russian Investment Forum 2022. Next, go to the ‘Event dashboard’ and submit a request via the ‘Mobility assistance at the Forum venue’ tab. This must be done no later than three days prior to your arrival

Transport

Sochi is one of Russia’s largest resort cities and has a highly developed transport infrastructure. The city is home to an international airport, two railway stations, a commercial and passenger port, and numerous highways.

Participants have a number of options for getting to the Forum venue:

  • By free Forum shuttle buses. During the Forum, regular free shuttle buses will run from Sochi International Airport, recommended hotels, Adler Railway Station, and Olympic Park Railway Station to the Forum venue and back. A shuttle bus timetable will be published on the Forum website closer to the dates of the Forum.

    An up-to-date shuttle bus timetable will be published in the ‘Transport’ section of the Forum website, and will also be available at any information and services point at the Forum.

  • By rented vehicle. Participants may hire an accredited vehicle with a driver. More information on this service is published in the ‘Car rental’ section on the Forum website in due course.

  • By personal accredited vehicle. Forum participants may obtain accreditation for a personal vehicle in order to access the Sirius Park of Science and Art. Depending on the type of transport pass and the parking area number assigned to it, accredited vehicles also have right of access to parking areas near the Forum venue.

  • By personal non-accredited vehicle. Non-accredited vehicles and taxis may pick up and drop off passengers at the checkpoint 1 in Olimpiysky Prospekt.

Arrival in Sochi

Foreign citizens will also have to submit information on their arrival in Russia/departure from Russia in order to board their flights and cross the Russian border.

Sochi has a pleasant and humid subtropical climate. Average temperatures in February range from +5°С to +10°С.

The combination of high humidity and wind means that the weather always feels colder than it is, so visitors are encouraged to bring warm clothing and an umbrella.
