The Organizing Committee of the Russian Investment Forum has posted the programme for Young Enterprise Day, which will be held on the zero day of the Forum on 14 February, on its official website.

The key event of the business programme will be a panel discussion ‘The Role of Young People in Shaping the Economy of the Future’. The participants will discuss the role of youth as the driver of innovative creativity and the bearer of intellectual potential during the era of the fourth industrial revolution.

The business sessions will address various aspects of youth entrepreneurship. The session on social entrepreneurship will focus on measures to support small- and medium-sized businesses, the government’s role in the development of social youth entrepreneurship, and the development of youth entrepreneurship in the regions.

The session of the Ministry of Economic Development ‘Development of Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ will address issues related to reducing barriers for the development of small- and medium-sized businesses.

The all-Russian public organization Delovaya Rossiya will present cases of successful student start-ups that became leaders in the European and Russian industries at its session. The session participants will give practical recommendations to start-up entrepreneurs on the construction and development of business.

The session of the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Opora Russia will discuss the creation of a comfortable business environment and the development of mentorship in the sector.

As part of the business programme, participants will discuss prospects for doing business in rural areas, measures of state support, and issues concerning competition from large agricultural producers. The session ‘The New Urban Economy’ will touch upon the potential of youth entrepreneurship in a changing labour market.

Individual sessions will focus on the protection of intellectual property, legal aspects of the use of crypto-currencies, and opportunities for young people in the digital economy.

Young Enterprise Day events are organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Russian Centre for the Promotion of Youth Entrepreneurship, and the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Opora Russia with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
