Ivan Okhlobystin to choose the best innovation on Vnesheconombank’s show on NTV
Ivan Okhlobystin has become the latest addition to the panel of judges of the Million-Rouble Idea show of business projects for domestic high-tech startups.
Actor, script-writer and writer, Ivan Okhlobystin has joined the team of judges for the Million-Rouble Idea show of domestic high-tech startups. The panel of judges also includes Chairman of Vnesheconombank Sergei Gorkov, Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin, as well as Forbes list businessmen, heads of investment funds and development institutes, and show biz stars.
“The Million-Rouble Idea show is a noble idea. Everyone who works in science must be offered gratuitous help. Thankfully, there are people interested in new technologies, and so financing can be found. It is no secret that the status of science in our country is unenviable for many objective reasons. I am not trying to reproach our state leaders – you cannot deal with all challenges at once. It is just great that these people are given a chance for self-fulfilment to implement their creative concepts”, Ivan Okhlobystin commented on his involvement in the show.
Million-Rouble Idea initiated by Vnesheconombank is aired on NTV from Tuesday to Friday starting from 12 December. So far, four finalists have been named: HoverSurf, Wikium, Cyber Neurointerspace, and Motorika manufacturer of prosthetic devices. Three more finalists will be added to the short list in coming episodes. The final, to be aired on 22 December, will feature seven participants competing for the prize pool of RUB 60 million.
The host of the show is Sergey Malozyomov, author of the programmes Live and Dead Food and Technology Wonder on NTV.
The Roscongress Foundation will enable the finalists to present their startups to domestic and foreign investors at the key economic forums of the country, including field sessions of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia and abroad. A relevant agreement was signed by Vnesheconombank and the Roscongress Foundation at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
